Learning to Draw.

My photo

I started taking drawing lessons in April of 2011. While looking through various brochures I found one that said, "If you can write legibly, you can learn to draw. Learning to draw has little to do with manual dexterity and everything to do with how you see things around you." That drew my interest. I signed up for the 6-week course. About the 2nd or 3rd lesson I was stunned by what I had accomplished from Ms Davis' tutelage and at the end of the course inquired about private instruction. For the next 14 months we continued for 2 hours every 2 weeks. Her eye for color values and suggestions turned me from someone who could barely draw a cube into someone who could see the color differences in the leaves on our forest of trees and in the eye of our dog and manage to get them to paper. The Artist/instructor was Ms. Cindy Davis and some of her works can be seen at the following web site: http://cmdavisart.com/
